CALASOLE... name is inspired by its position: on northern side of Capo Posillipo, overlooking "WHERE SUN SETS".

From each corner of the large veranda every guest can enjoy the show of a warm sunset admiring sun slowly fading behind Nisida island or Monte di Procida to leave the stage to thousands of lights sparkling from the hill of Vomero and the gulf of Pozzuoli.

CALASOLE... has been shaped by four generations of "healthy and tasty food alchemists": Rosiello family. Since 1866 when Domenico started in Marechiaro with "La Tavernella", the first traditional "trattoria" of the nicest suburb of Neaples, to 1939 when his son Raffaele brought it at the top of its celebrity guesting, in a famous banquet, King of Italy H.M. Vittorio Emanuele and his court. From "don Mimì", so he was named by his elegant customers, in the early 70's to his son Patrizio who actually leads the kitchen, wisely mixing a strong family tradition with continuous research for modern tastes. In this new location he has enriched traditional Neapolitan scents with Sicilian flavors, all combined in a homely warm environment.
